Everyday errands

Groceries and everyday errands near Grand Oaks

The everyday run is short from the Arlington Expressway. Here are the grocery anchors nearby, in miles by road, with the names we can stand behind.

The grocery anchors

Winn-Dixie on University Boulevard North is 1.5 miles by road, the Jacksonville-based chain's Arlington store. Publix on Atlantic Boulevard is 2.1 miles, and Aldi is 2.5 miles; Aldi has been opening new Arlington stores, some of them in former Winn-Dixie buildings, so the map here is shifting. These are the chains we name because their own store locators confirm them; the independents and the smaller shops change too often to list.

The Regency area

The Regency area, about 2.9 miles east where the Arlington Expressway meets Atlantic Boulevard, is still a commercial and transit hub, but the enclosed Regency Square Mall itself closed in 2025 and is being demolished and redeveloped. For a full shopping trip, St. Johns Town Center on the Southside is 8.9 miles; things to do has more on it.

The homes

Grand Oaks has renovated one, two and three bedroom apartments on the Arlington Expressway, each with wood-plank flooring, an updated kitchen and an open living area. Live pricing for every open home is on the availability page.
